Have you ever thought about starting a business or something new, felt really excited for about five minutes, and then immediately talked yourself out of it?
Like, “This could be amazing!” quickly followed by, “Who do I think I am?” 😅

If you have ever felt this way when thinking about starting a business, you are not alone. Self-doubt is one of the biggest reasons women hold themselves back from building something of their own.
That little voice can be loud. The one that brings up all the questions. What if I cannot do this? What will people think? What if I start a business and then do not follow through?
Starting something new, especially a business from home, is not just about learning what to do. It is about everything you feel along the way. The excitement, the overthinking, the second-guessing, and those quiet moments where doubt creeps in when no one else can see it.
And the truth is, most people do not talk about that part of entrepreneurship.
We see the confidence. The growth. The results. But we do not see the moments where someone sat there wondering if they were even capable of starting in the first place.
What I have come to understand is that self-doubt does not mean you cannot build a successful business. It usually means you care. And that matters more than you think.
You do not need to have everything figured out before you start a business. You do not need to feel completely confident. You simply need to be willing to take one small step, even if it feels uncomfortable or a little awkward at first.
Because confidence is not something you wait for. It is something that grows as you build.
This is especially true when starting an Avon business or any work from home business. The women who succeed are not the ones who felt ready from the beginning. They are the ones who started anyway.
And this is where the right environment makes all the difference. When you are surrounded by a supportive community, when you have encouragement, guidance, and women who truly understand what it feels like to be at the beginning, it becomes easier to keep going. Easier to take the next step. Easier to believe in yourself.
If you have been thinking about starting a business, but keep talking yourself out of it, I want you to know you are not alone.
You are allowed to start before you feel ready. You are allowed to figure it out as you go. And you are absolutely allowed to build a business in a way that feels right for you.
And if you are looking for a space where you can take those first steps with support, encouragement, and maybe even a little laughter along the way, I would truly love to connect with you 💕 Let's talk - https://www.nicolebowles.ca/contact
